Skip the homework!
Moms, this is your sign to let your kids skip the homework and head outside. Seriously!
Ok, hear me out — definitely do the homework, but nobody says you have to get it done right after school!
Instead, give your child the opportunity to head outside for some good ole fashioned unstructured, child-led play!
Unstructured play is where the magic happens. It lets kids decompress, use their imaginations, and engage in activities that they choose, at their own pace!
Whether they're playing with sticks, chasing butterflies, or simply rolling in the grass, they're not just playing—they're learning.
This type of play helps kids process their day, develop problem-solving skills, and improve their emotional regulation.
After a long day of following rules and schedules, they NEED that freedom to explore, create, and just be kids!
So next time they come home from school, don’t rush them straight to the table.
Take them outside to soak up the fresh air, run around, and play. You'll be amazed at how much more focused and ready they’ll be when it’s time to do their homework.
A little fresh air is good for everybody 😉
